York Mansion House's Collections encompass 300 hundred years of civic life.

We have a large collection of furniture, ceramics, glassware, paintings and photographs and an “unparalleled collection” of York gold and silver, including the first silver chamber pot and a gold cup which were bought for the City of York with monies bequeathed by Marmaduke Rawdon in 1672.

The house has been home to York's Lord Mayor for 800 years and each Mayor has left a piece of history and a story with each addition to our wonderfully unique collection.
